Back in February a couple of us got together to throw one our dear friend Leslie a Mardi Gras Birthday Party, complete with a parade. I mean you can't have Mardi Gras without a parade right? Nothing like seeing a bunch of grown adults (sober mind you) and kids and a dog riding on a trailer decked out in Mardi Colors down a country road far from the Mardi Gras celebrations going on in Mobile and New Orleans. It was so much fun. The invitations went out in style. We filled a balloon with Mardi Gras confetti, an invitation and a set of beads to bring for a door prize (A Mardi Gras pimp cup lol). We filled my house with purple, gold and green balloons and streamers. We filled goodie bags for each family with things they would need for the night. We gave them masks, beads, moon pies. coins and candy. We set a parade table with horns and glow sticks. We had a taco buffet for dinner. The night was amazing!!

My sister's baby shower
Some friends and myself got together to throw and amazing sports themed baby shower for my sister this past weekend. It could not have turned out better!!! I think we just might be getting the hang of this party stuff lol. We borrowed white round tables and chairs from our church. We used red duct tape to line the tables to look like baseballs (thanks goes to my friend Dawn for that idea). The effect was amazing. We tied lime green tulle around the chairs (thanks goes to my friend Stephanie for this idea). Thanks to pinterest we came up with the idea for an autograph table. Instead of using a baby book for everyone to sign, we had them sign a football or baseball bat. We also had a calendar for everyone to guess the baby's birthday. The food table was to die for!!! Hamburger sliders, corn dogs, chips and dip, and what ball game is complete without cracker jacks!! We also filled lunch bags with confetti popcorn on each table. Beautiful personalized cupcakes courtesy of Big Dot of Happiness. If you have seen this website please check it out! Amazing party ideas. We also had them print a large sports poster for little Samuel! We filled a gazebo with presents from top to bottom along with maternity pics of my sister. We had penant take away bags filled with goodies and sealed with a beautiful poem from Samuel (thanks to my mom and friend Leslie for this one). Lots of balloons and penants and a very cute diaper cycle!!! All in all a beautiful and fun day surrounded by family and friends!
